VIPs: Intelligent Identity

A bold, distinctive visual identity for Verve Intelligent Personas (VIPs)—AI-powered simulations of real target audiences.

Overview

Verve Intelligent Personas (VIPs) are private, AI-powered simulations of real target audiences, built using trusted data from real people. This innovative approach to market research required a compelling visual identity to increase awareness and drive conversions, particularly among in-house market researchers in B2B companies.

Challenge

As a new and unique product, VIPs needed a branding system that clearly communicated its value and differentiated it from traditional market research methods. The challenge was to balance

innovation and credibility—creating a look and feel that felt futuristic yet trustworthy.

Approach

To develop a distinctive visual identity, I initially explored a monochrome aesthetic in early communications. However, based on feedback and evolving requirements, I shifted to a bold, colourful approach that better captured the dynamism of VIPs.

I leveraged existing Verve brand elements while introducing new design features tailored specifically for VIPs:

  • Cut-out representations of diverse personas, with half-coloured overlays to reflect the AI-driven nature of the simulations

  • Cherry purple Verve background, reinforcing brand consistency

  • White text on black backgrounds for titles, creating strong contrast and visual impact

  • Dynamic animations, including animated ads, to bring the concept to life


Execution

This branding system was applied across multiple marketing and sales assets, ensuring a cohesive and recognisable identity for VIPs:

  • Email campaigns – to engage and educate potential users

  • Social media posts – to raise awareness and drive engagement

  • Sales presentations – to support conversations with prospective clients

  • A landing page - explaining more about VIPs and capturing potential leads

Impact

Since early 2024, the VIPs engaged database has doubled, with multiple clients signing up and expressing high satisfaction with the product. The branding work has also led to the development of a full VIPs design template system, enabling seamless future expansion of marketing materials.
