Changing Worlds

A bold, engaging Alida community hub—complete with surveys, emails, and forums—to showcase the platform’s capabilities.

Challenge


When pitching Alida communities to potential clients, mock-ups alone weren’t enough—clients needed to see behind the scenes to truly understand how the platform looked and functioned. To solve this, Verve decided to build a fully functional demo community with live activities and data, allowing prospects to experience not just the website, surveys, and emails, but also how the analytics and insights worked.


The challenge was to create a standout brand identity—distinct from Verve’s, yet appealing to a wide range of industries, from finance to retail and beyond. The design needed to be bold and engaging, while still working within the technical constraints of the Alida platform.


Approach


To bring this vision to life, I first created a Photoshop mock-up of the landing page, establishing a bold brand identity using neon colours and an expanded gradient from an existing impactful palette.

The design was quickly approved, allowing me to move forward with the surveys and emails, ensuring consistent banners and colours across all elements.


Since Alida’s platform allows for limited customisation, I designed all assets within the fixed constraints, carefully working within preset font options and banner sizes. To ensure an intuitive user experience, we structured the community hub as a single-page website, where featured articles were displayed in a carousel or a prioritised list to maintain clarity and engagement.


Result


The Changing Worlds hub was successfully launched with a finance sector potential client and has since been used in multiple client demos. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with the project effectively demonstrating Alida’s capabilities in a clear, engaging, and interactive way. This initiative has set a strong precedent for future demo communities, providing Verve with a valuable tool to showcase Alida’s platform to prospective clients.
